About the Book

My two young sons and I were vacationing in Destin, Fl in 1991. We were walking along the pale blue water’s edge hand in hand when I started making up a little song. We were kicking up the water with our feet and enjoying the day. I later added more words to the song, and it became, Oh I Wish I Were A Baby Fish. 
I always wanted to do something with the song, but I was busy raising my sons and thought that one day I would. I decided it was time to bring out the song because now I have three young grandchildren that I wanted to share it with.
I also thought the song would make a great children’s book so I illustrated the book to the words of the song. This is the result after all these years, and I am thrilled that I never lost the drive to make it happen. Dream Big, Be Big!
